Q&A for Future Provisional Psychologist Placement Opportunities

Quirky Kid offers structured placements for provisional psychologists looking to complete their registration. Our program provides hands-on experience in play-based child therapy, psychometric assessments, and ongoing supervision support.

Placement positions are highly competitive, so this free, interactive 30-minute session is designed to give future applicants a transparent look at our clinic culture, client caseloads, intake schedules, and application expectations. You will have the opportunity to meet our leadership team directly and ask any questions before submitting your application.

What You Will Learn:

• Intake Timelines: Details on our primary bi-annual intake schedule (March and October) and ideal start dates.
• Clinic Expectations: Our play-based, child-centered therapeutic model, client load expectations (2–3 days/week), and assessment tools (including WISC-V on Q-interactive).
• Supervision & Support: How we support our team through external primary supervision and professional development.
• Live Q&A: A direct Q&A segment with Practice Manager Leonardo Rocker and Principal Psychologist Dr. Kimberley O'Brien.

Who Should Apply:We prioritize applicants who are entering their final placement, have prior experience working with children and parents, and are seeking a long-term clinical role within reach of our Woollahra or Oatley clinics.
