


Provisional Psychologist
Virginia is a dedicated and compassionate Provisional Psychologist with over four years of clinical experience supporting children and adolescents aged 4–18 years. She has worked across private clinics, schools, and community settings, providing developmentally informed and trauma-responsive psychological support to children and families.
Virginia has a strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health, with particular expertise in trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation, mindfulness-based strategies for children, and creative therapeutic approaches. She is trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children and adolescents and integrates art and play therapy to help young people express emotions, process experiences, and build emotional regulation and resilience in a safe and supportive environment.
Throughout her career, Virginia has supported children presenting with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, behavioural difficulties, bullying, trauma histories, and family stress. She has extensive experience delivering both individual therapy and group-based programs, as well as facilitating workshops for children, parents, and schools focused on emotional literacy, wellbeing, mindfulness, nervous-system regulation, and child safety.
Virginia is deeply passionate about developmental psychology and the ways children communicate through play, creativity, and relationships. She is also the co-creator of several evidence-based therapeutic tools, including children’s books, emotional-literacy cards, anxiety-management resources, and a child sexual-abuse prevention program, all designed to make psychological concepts accessible and engaging for young people and their families.
At Quirky Kid, Virginia brings warmth, creativity, and clinical curiosity to her work, supporting children and families to strengthen emotional understanding, confidence, and wellbeing through developmentally attuned and child-centred care.
Virginia holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, anda Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Children and Adolescents from the MexicanPsychoanalytic Association. She also holds a Diploma in Child Psychotherapy with a specialty inArt and Play Therapy and maintains provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia(AHPRA), working under approved supervision.
