We are excited to welcome Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School to our BaseCamp® program - an multi-award-winning Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program developed by The Quirky Kid Clinic, now used by various schools and clinics globally. Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School, located in South Australia is just one of the schools we are currently working with to provide Basecamp® to their students.
About Eastern Fleurei R-12 School
Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School is a multi-campus Reception to Year 12 school, located south-east of Adelaide, in the heart of the richest agricultural precinct and tourism destination of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Our name comes from the Fleurieu Peninsula, named by French explorer Nicholas Baudin in 1802. The school was established in 1996, following a review of educational provision in this area. The new school emerged as a result of an amalgamation of five existing schools in Strathalbyn, Langhorne Creek, Milang and Ashbourne. While the particular history and identity of each campus have been maintained, we moved to adopt a stronger whole school approach through building on the capacity of staff, students, parents and wider communities to create synergies in providing outstanding educational options and outcomes for all our students.
By adopting The Basecamp® program, Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School enables students and teachers to creatively and holistically explore different fields of knowledge, fostering individual and collaborative learning skills that are critical for the 21st century.
We are amazed by the school's passion and commitment to the development of each student and are excited to be working with their team to deliver our program. Together, we will create an enriching environment that promotes Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School students' social, academic and emotional growth!

How the BaseCamp® program will be implemented at Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School
The Base Camp® program launched at Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School. Each participant received a copy of the exclusive workbook developed by Quirky Kid. To offer students the necessary support, facilitators have access to an extensive range of information, manuals and regular supervision as required.
To ensure appropriate evaluation, each child and group completed pre and post psychometric testing of their social and emotional skills to measure the outcome of the Base Camp® program. Evaluation and monitoring is an important component of the program. We look forward to working closely withEastern Fleurieu R-12 School in enhancing their students wellbeing!
