She worked as a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology at NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in the UK for six years. She was trained in evidence-based interventions to support common mental health presentations in children and young people and received accreditation in parenting programs such as Incredible Years, Triple P and Mellow Parenting.

Susanne has developed and delivered training for teachers on ASD and classroom issues, and delivered workshops for parents to facilitate their understanding of ASD, communication and behaviour.
