Elizabeth (Lizzy) Perks is a Provisional Psychologist at the Quirky Kid clinic in Sydney. She primarily works with children experiencing anxiety and social-emotional learning deficits and helps children understand and manage friendship difficulties.
Lizzy has undertaken formal training in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) for children presenting with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She is experienced in administering the Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V), Weschler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-III), Conners 3® and NDIS case-plan assessments.
She assists in the publishing of Quirky Kid's parent and child resources.
Prior to her psychology studies, she was involved in the launch of a parenting website based in Dallas, Texas.
Lizzy is a parent to three school-aged children and a cocker spaniel. She is super-keen on LEGO, art, children's literature and enjoying the great outdoors, but her children can’t convince her to jetty jump.
Lizzy is accredited with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) (Honours Class I) from the University of Sydney, a Master of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws from the Flinders University of South Australia.
She holds Provisional Registration with the Australian Psychology Board (AHPRA) and is under the supervision of Dr Kimberley O'Brien.
